Just had a problem on the phone to them, now thankfully resolved,but..

Rang them to tell them an electric toothbrush (it was a bargain) i bought in october last year was no longer charging.

"It cannot be returned as it is out of the 30 day returns period"
Me " that's your companies terms and conditions, but the goods are faulty".
Without boring you ,she just kept repeating the same.Eventually I asked to speak to a Supervisor, who it turns out was busy, but adviser now says she will send me a replacement "just this once".I did feel the neeed to point out that she wasn't doing me a favour,it's my legal right.

I was surprised at this problem I had getting it exchanged because they deliver so quickly, and I assumed they would be equally good when there was a problem.

If you do the return online it's much easier and it sends you a replacement automatically.

Thanks, I haven't got use of a printer at the moment, and the tab i needed to click seemed to want me to create anaddress label, which I can't do.

Over the phone, she eventually said i didn't need to return the faulty item,as it had been used, but I see the website says you have to return the item within 30 days or they will bill you.

For those with issues, you might want to read this article and armed with the information, speak to Amazon again

Online wont let you return past 30 days you need to contact them. I had a problem with a toy lasts year they refused to repair or replace it just said I would have to pay for the repair and have 10% of the item price refunded!

Looks like this isn't the first time Amazon have refused people their consumer rights...

I recently bought a satnav for my gf's dad and he didn't want it.. it had been about two months and they accepted it back, I was well impressed. I think that was due to the christmas extended returns though.

My gf also bought a bag from amazon and it broke after about 6 months so they sent out a replacement straight away and we returned the faulty one for free. This impressed me aswell because although it was annoying that it broke after 6 months it was just a bag and wasn't sure if they'd guarantee it for this long.
