Hopefully, when her solicitor puts her straight she'll be too embarassed to have another go at you, will get the fence fixed herself and shut up about it.A house isn't a home without a cat.
Those are my principles. If you don't like them, I have others.
I have writer's block - I can't begin to tell you about it.
You told me again you preferred handsome men but for me you would make an exception.

Jim, if she agrees that she is responsible for the boundary fence she may go for the cheapest option of a DIY 2' high chain link solution. This may not show your garden off to it's full advantage nor keep your dog in your garden. In your shoes, I'd put up a fence my side of the boundary which would complement the rest of the fencing in my garden and allow my to plant against and up it - which would be a selling point should I ever wish to sell. You are lucky to have a clearly defined responsibility, my walls are joint responsibility with the neighbours so if I want to change anything or jusy trim the hedge then in theory I have to ask permission.

Oh goody, I'm rubbing my hands with glee. That'll teach her to get on her soapbox to you & try to push her responsibilties & her old fence on to you. :rotfl:
Let us know how things progress please. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
Let us know how you got on. If she doesn't fix the fence go and remove a panel from another part of her garden and slot it in. when she removes it, do it again, and again, and again. Eventually she will give in and replace the panel. Your persistence will drive her mad, lol. good luckI am a Mortgage Adviser

Why not do what we did, Just build a fence a couple of inch in front of the original one on your side. You know your responsible for it and whatever happens to the one behind is their problem. Is it worth arguing over a couple of inches? i don't think so. Especially as david29dpo points out about bad neighbours! (BTW, we did not have a prob with next door, just did it to save any possible confrontation.)0

I live in a semi and we needed fences all around so i put them all around as our neighbours do not live there but come back every few months or so, but now have stuck it up for rent. The Fence that shares our boundary i put about 6" on my side so all mine now.
Only problem if they want to paint it.0
