I think I have read online that some patches have aluminium in them, which can cause problems for people in other situations. It's quite worrying though.

I may drop them an email just as a warning for others. At the end of the day I cant prove to them I was using sun cream and I suppose they cant guarantee patches will be suitable for all skins. I'm healing and I now know to cover up where the patches have been for the foreseeable future. No long term damage luckily.

I'd love to know if this has happened to anyone else though.

My main concern would be for other users and I too would want to know if this has happened to others.

It might not have occured to them to test the patches with suncream. Do the instructions state that they might not be suitable for all skins?

I'm very interested to hear if you hear anything back from them and I agree with Kazzah that you should consider contacting Health and safety and trading standards if nothing else maybe just to get the word out to people.

I feel quite strongly about this!

BTW I used to wear then on the top of my thigh.

if there is NO warning in any of the boxes that this could happen, this is very poor customer service

Not strictly true. There is a first time for every side effect. Companies can rarely see into the future for every contingency.

When I used patches I alwas found they tingled on my skin. When I wore it on my stomach during an exercise class I came out to find it had burnt me. Those things can be vicious. I think perspiration and nicotine patches don't mix.
