M&S Cup cakes 4pk

Hello, I was wondering if anyone has splashed out on the new M&S cup cakes which come in packs of 4 for £1.99 and a slightly more luxury ones for £2.99? There are quite a few flavours to pick from..

Am tempted :D

I got some of the pink glittery strawberry ones for £2.99 and I really didn't like them, they were so sickly and far too big. We ended up throwing two away! They do look very pretty though!

  • The £1.99 ones are lovely, my kids love them as a special treat, however the £2.99 look really pretty but even my sweet toothed kids dont like how sweet they are and the buttercream to me has a slight plastic after taste
  • I forgot to say that my m&s offten reduce them down on a monday afternoon to a £1

I got some of the chocolate ones and thought they were lovely but I'm a chocoholic, DH didn't like them much. Yesterday I bought the carrot cake ones and he much preferred them

I might try them if they have them on offer sometime - the £2.99 ones do look really sweet! The £1.99 might not be as sugary..

I asked the question as once I got an M&S Birthday Cake and it was dry and didn't taste great and usually M&S stuff is yummy.. I'm glad I didn't get any this week as a few people have not rated them..

I personally like the chocolate shortbread they sell for 59p a piece (fresh cakes, etc) but when we all tried the choc chip cookies at 59p a piece me and my friends thought they were abit sickly/sweet...

The strawberry ones looked so lovely I had to have some but they were awful. The cream was so unbelievably sickly it makes my teeth hurt just thinking about it, and it's a really thick layer as well. The cake itself was very crumbly and not at all moist.
