Virgin Media Broadband

My monthly broadband bill of £8.81 with Virgin Media has just risen to £18.81 without any prior notification. Virgin informed me that the first twelve months was at a discounted rate and I now have to pay the full cost. Virgin did not provide this information when I first signed up and it seems they have me over a barrel as they are the only service provider offering fribre optic broadband!

If you've already done your 12 months then now's the time to haggle.
Phone them up and tell them you will be leaving virgin media. Be as stubborn (but friendly) as possible and persevere and hold them on the line trying to haggle after they've done their usual "don't leave us b.ollocks"
Tell them you will be moving to tiscali or sky or something and do your homework on why these companies are better..(prices/speed/customer service etc)
Virgin aren't to know you don't have a phone line installed (assuming you don't)0
