I wish my mortgage was under 100 000! It won't be until March at the earliest though...I'm sick of seeing 6 figures...

I made my first overpayment for 2010 of $2.63! Yes it's only a small amount but I find all these little bits and pieces add up...

On Thursday I will be making a payment of $339 (this is the minimum payment taken automatically from my account) and then another overpayment of $324.50.

This will bring the balance to 104 475.16...

I got paid yesterday, I have put $329.80 extra to the mortgage plus $339 minimum payment.

    Balance is now 104 472

Looking forward to next payday we should be able to afford about $1300 altogether to put to the mortgage.

Hopefully we should be under 100 000 by the 18th March...

Ok I have finally got around to updating my diary!

Last Thursday was payday and I paid HEAPS extra to the mortgage. $1393.33 altogether including the $339 minimum payment. The balance of the mortgage is now $103 151...

We have a couple of expenses coming up. My son needs to go to the dentist to have a baby tooth out so that will cost about $100. Plus the dog needs flea and worming stuff. I buy enough for 6 months so that will cost about $170.

Also my son is going to live with his Dad in April. So from a financial point of view I will lose the money I get for him but then again, I won't have my son's expenses.

Now to update my signature with the new totals!

    Cheers

I paid an extra $10.30 today because I felt like it! Balance is now 103141.

I also did some searching and found a cheaper option for flea and worming stuff for the dog. So today I have paid $105 instead of $170 for a 6 month supply...and the flea stuff is a tablet instead of an external application so we don't have to worry about applying that anymore...

Now if I can only get the dentist to lower her fees...not much chance of that!

I got some unexpected income today: $120.80 so I paid it straight to the mortgage.

This makes the balance 103 570.43

and the total overpayments for January and the year is: 1470.19
