Make sure you're not deleting the site's cookie, or using a cleaner (eg CCleaner) to clean cookies (most will let you add exclusions so you can stay logged in), or are letting your browser clear, or not keep, cookies.

This is what the MSE team said about the last major upgrade, and sort of explains why it may seem that way on the surface.

The plan is to firstly get the forums back to how it was before using upgraded software and then work to incorporate some of the new features offered with this release.

At the moment you wont have noticed any real change and that is deliberate. We wanted to ensure core stability first, before introducing new features which could compromise this.

Perhaps somewhere in the background, while the forum is offline, the Abuse team can catch up with and do something about the ever-increasing boldness of BNP supporters to hijack threads towards posting racist abuse.
