Car pulling to left
Options
Hi all,
Got a new car on Monday and all is going well
(touch wood)
My only problem is the car seems to be ever so slightly pulling to the left. Also when at 70 the steering wheel seems to shake a lot like the tyres are shaking. Above and under 70 its fine.
Is it a case of getting tracking done or is it a wheel balancing jobby? Or could it be something more serious?
Thanks everyone

Pulling probably tracking. Wheel whobbles = balancing.
Is it new new or second hand? If bought from a dealer I'd be inclined to phone them up and tell them to sort it. Otherwise just take it to a garage and get it done, think tracking is ~ £25 and balancing £3-5 a wheel. Most garages offer a free tracking check0 -
easiest one 1st, check tyre pressuresANURADHA KOIRALA ??? go on throw it in google.0

Cars will track slightly to left on most roads with the camber. Try driving on other side of road to check if it is still pulling. BVut certainly get balancing done and then tracking if still an issue.0

I checked tyre pressure on the way to work this morning and all was fine. I will try driving on the other side of the road on my lunch break (safely of course). See if that fixes it.
If not I'll get the tracking and balancing looked at. Thanks for the advice everyone. This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.0 -

Hi gaz,
Whilst it is probably tracking or maybe a slightly worn ball joint, there is a slight chance that it is a tyre problem.
If you had nothing better to do before taking it to the garage you could try swapping the tyres round on the front just to be sure
If it turns out to be a slightly worn ball joint or similar if it was bought from a garage they might cover it under warranty ?It's not just about the money0 -
Could next try if the brakes are binding (sticking on) if this happens on one side it will pull to that side.0

I bought it privately but its still got a dealer warranty from when the previous guy bought it. Came with a 2 year warranty when he bought it. Crazy amount of time for a dealer warranty but maybe he paid extra for it. If its more serious than tracking or balancing I'll make sure they pay for it :rotfl:This is my signature.
