Hi Everyone
Still not doing well on the spending on food - I met a colleague for a working lunch - I kept it cheap. I will be meeting a friend for dinner tonight. I will be paying as she is helping me out for my interview. It's the least I can do.
Short list today:- Printed off vouchers for potential restaurants for tonight
- Scratchcard - 10p
- Picked up a few essentials from Boots - spent over £10

- Ironing
- Decluttering
- Respond to EBay query once I know the answer
- Put away the mountain of socks that is accumulating
Better get ready - see you all later.

Thank you to those of you yesterday who sent good wishes to my DD! She made it through school, but yesterday evening we found some spots  not sure what they are, she's had chicken pox, & they dont look viral, looke more like bites
She was up again coughing in the night, think it looks like day off school today.
!
Well......she seemed a bit brighter after breakfast, so went to school after dose of calpol. Picked her up at normal time, & didnt seem so good, so got doctors appt for teatime - and doctor says she's got croup!! So I feel like a totally useless mother now for sending her to school the last couple of days
No antibiotics as its viral, just lots of calpol & cuddles. I can do that. And DEFINITELY no school tomorrow!!0 -
Today I have
- Daliy cards 10p
- Won £25 on Premium bonds sencond win in as many months!
- Taken lunch to work
- Paid cheque for things I have paid for0 -

My brother used to get croup for a pastime when small and my mum would spend many many hours sat in the bathroom with him as the steam helps when it gets bad. She would run a very hot bath, boil the kettle and take that in the bathroom and then barricade in so it was really steamy. Hope your DD is feeling better soon x x0 -

Hi everyone - big hugs to your DD Mogchops. Don't beat yourself up, you weren't to know, and now you do you're obviously ready to love her better. I always thought croup was something only babies got.
1) Went to work.
2) Realised my library book on managing money is overdue and has therefore incurred a fine. Oh the cruel irony.
3) Entered Walkers points that I got off a friend and also played find Gary for an extra point.
4) SC x 20p. I played 5p on 1p bingo but won nada.
5) LSD, just a paper and carrots.
6) Got loads of shampoo again from Boots for under 50p a bottle, and paid in points. I have a cupboard full of shampoo.
7) Made a huge dirt cheap lentil dahl for dinner, with plenty leftover for tomorrow.
8)Washing drying inside on airer due to rain.
9) Hunted for summer shoes in the back of my wardrobe as I am wearing my current ones out. Found two pairs that are currently being 'refreshed' in the washing machine. Phew!
10) Our shower has broken ( in this heat:eek:) so FIL is contacting a friend who is a plumber to get a replacement cheaply. FIL has also offered to fit it. Luckily he is visiting this weekend anyway, so we won't have to use the bath for long.
11) B's dad got her a new mobile for her birthday, so I have investigated unlocking her old one to replace my ancient brick.
12) Looked for eating out vouchers for B and my girly weekend in London.
As soon as T is finally asleep I shall treat myself to a glass of wine and a charity shop DVD. And aim for a good night's sleep as I ended up on the sofa last night case my bed is so old and saggy and broken! A bit like me.:p
Night night,
L x0
