Panasonic Plasma TV question

Hello,

I'm a liitle green when it comes to Plasma, LCD T.V's. Finally getting round to buy a digital TV. Have been searching around alot on the internet. My budget is around £600 - £700 punds and I want a 42 " screen. I have come across a good deal on a pansonic Viera TXP42X10B from Dixons for £560.

It gets good write ups and reviews but doesn't have the 1080 resolution. Can anybody tell me if I really need this ? and are there any better buys around for roughly the same price. any advice appreciated.

Thanks

    Hi,

that is an excellent choice. Unless you play a lot of console games or watch a lot of blu-ray you dont need the hidef resolution. In fact, normal tv can look worse on hidef resolution screens as it magnifies the poor broadcast quality

Panasonic are the best of the normally priced plasmas. We have had 3 in the family for 3-4 years now. IMHO much better than samsung. lg etc

    Go for it!
