Oh.. Silly me again for assuming that BP meant Bacs and the LLoyds (like everyone else) would flag a FP payment as FP..

Maybe I'm maligning them and it did go FP - they just didn't think it was a good idea to let me know.

I'll check with the payee later today

I thought you had checked before creating upheaval!

    BP stands for Bill Payment.

    The only flag incoming FPs.

    Ouch....
Tesco & natwest flag outgoing payments FP - but then as they go "on creation" you can also see it real time. Not this half baked system that Lloyds have.

Half-baked it is indeed. A&L also do not indicate which way a payment is going. Pure guess-work.
Only Barclays, HSBC, and RBS have fully implemented FP.

OK - humble pie and apologies for any confusion caused. I have now checked with the recipient and the £500 arrived today so DID go FP. :o
I normally pay £600 and that definitely goes BACS so It looks like the £500 limit for FP is correct.

I had a payment for £750 from LTSB to HSBC (both my accounts) take 4 days recently (request entered online). HSBC were under the illusion that payments from LTSB should all be FP, but obviously haven't talked to anyone at LTSB lately...
£500 may be the limit, then...
