Why do I never get Nectar coupons from Sainsbury's?

You can't use the extra points vouchers on any of the cards as they are linked to the card. Its true they don't get scanned at the till and are just placed in the drawer to get sent off but what happens when they are sent off is they get scanned in and the computer checks all the recent transactions on the card linked to the voucher to see if the correct spend was made on the correct items and then awards the points if they are. If you hand in a voucher and then use a different card to the one the voucher is from when they go to scan in the voucher they will be looking for the transaction on the wrong card.

Money off ones like £2 off £20 spend can be used with any card but extra point ones can't.

I disagree with you .My wife has just received her nectar statement showing 200 points added on her account when I had used her points with my card..as she never uses them

I don't get statements or extra points - I didn't even know I was supposed to! Just checked my data choices, and I am set up properly.
