laptop help pls

    it dosnt have a cd or floppy drive..i bought it off ebay nearly a year ago...has always been gd/
    only having problems after lending it to a certain someone :(:@

    thats no good . no it doesnt smell just makes a little noise then goes back to the black scrren with the first error saying sofware /hardware change caused it.

    is there not anyway i can connect hard drive to another computer and do a system restore?
    or copy / scan or something ?

  • What you really need is to get into the restore partition, but it might not necessarily have one of those! You mentioned earlier that you had connected the hard drive to another computer. (At least I think you did!) What happened then? Did the computer recognise it?

    EDIT: No problem, we'll still be here tomorrow (Hopefully :D)

    yes the pc recognised it as drive E
    Anyone know what to do ? how to do system restore ,,i tried last nite but it did a system resore on pc not laptop HD
