Ignore it and all the threatening letters from UKPC and their fake debt collectors/solicitors totally - Do not contact them for any reason, the claimed appeal process is a sham.
Just file them all on the (miniscule) off-chance they do take any follow-up action as they will always end-up making it utterly unenforcable at some point.
For further explanation, search down this forum for plenty of previous about that firm and more detailed expansion on why.0 -
I concur with pogofish.0

UKCP have lost nothing and have no right to fine you.
McDonalds - the kings of fast food, should have served you quicker.
It's McDonalds fault that you were there for so long - and are they the landowners anyway??
I agree with what Pogofish and Coblcris have said.
UKCP will try and try to scare you into paying - even more so if you respond to their threatograms.
Keep strong. Ignore them!!0 -
thanks guys i forgot to mention my car is still in my dads name and i wouldnt want him to get any ccj's0
-
Just to clarify - do you mean your dad's the current Registered Keeper? Yet the parking charge notice arrived in the post addressed to you?0

yes that is correct my dad lived with me when he had the car i now have it and he has moved but for some reason the dvla gave them my dads details i did send the log book off so still not sure what the mix up is, will this effect my dads credit as the lettter is in his name? i also rang ukpc to tell them i was the driver not my dad they told me to get evidence off the dvla and send it, i havent as i found this website. also on entering the car park above the sign is 2 cameras i assume photographing you going in and out would they have evidence to take me to court?0

You can only get a CCJ by going to Court, it won't get this far. Ignore anything else they send to you.0

like everyone else says, ignore them, dont contact them. for anything, once you do they think they have got you scared. They are cowboys who are not worth a second thought.
I would check with the DVLA that they have the correct detials for your car and that you are the owner.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

No, don't worry about it. To affect your credit status, they would need to take you to court, win and then you would have to fail to pay the judgement within a certain period - around 30 days OTOH. Which is a very, very, very unlikely scenario.
As you have contacted them, they will probably persist a bit longer with the letters and you can look forward to some hair-raising letters from their debt collectors or "solicitors" - Read them carefully and read all the small print. You will find them meaningless. Only respond to properly issued court papers.
"Photographic evidence" is yet another virtually meaningless bullying tactic and is the bottom of the evidential food chain. It is quite worthless on its own and unlikely to even be considered without other steps like a proper contract and a reasonable estimate of any "loss" UKPC may have suffered being admitted first.
And get your dad's details corrected. That could be a far more pressing problem for him if he is caught in a spot check with out of date info. Then make him aware of the private parking scam too.
