Vanquis claimed £140 back, entirely made up of £12 charges. Settled after 3 letters and 4 weeks.
Natwest claimed back £161, all £20 charges. They offered the difference, I declined quoting the OFT, they offered £151. Took 4 weeks.
Capital One, trickier. Claimed around £280. They refused to budge, eventually served court papers in which I added the interest they had charged on the charges and 8%. Came to £465 which they paid on the last day before they had to submit a defence. Took around 9 weeks all told.
It can be done. £12, £20 or even higher claim it back. If they are willing to submit a defence proving, to a court, that their charges are entirely made up of the costs incurred by a customers trangression, then let them.0
