yeah, i'd love to hear what some people have got too. I'm in the process of cancelling my Vodafone contract, to see what they can offer me. I'll be looking for something like :
275 or 300 minutes x-network
50 or 100 texts
stop the clock
+ a new phone (W800 or W810)
for around £30 per month,
Don't know if this seems resonable, or do you think i should be aiming higher? Or do i not have a hope in hell!!!?0 -

You can get 200 x net minutes(work out more with stop the clock), with 500 texts a month, 1/2 price line rental for 3 months, with a w900i, with stop the clock for £30 a month on the vodafone website.0

Think you could do better then that, just quote some of the offers you've seen pn other sites, try searching other sites using www.onecompare.com or just have a loot at www.onestopphoneshop.com or www.e2save.com they seem to eb awrae of the offers on there when I've rung in the past.astrobhoy wrote:yeah, i'd love to hear what some people have got too. I've been with Vodafone for a couple of years now and was denied a phone upgrade at the end of my contract because I didn't qualify. So I started looking at new tariffs, etc. Settled on T-Mobile.
So I rang Vodafone today and told them I want to cancel. They asked why, and I explained about not qualifying for an upgrade etc and his reponse was, 'well how about a new nokia 6230i and bluetooth headset'.
That suited me. I still got my free minutes, free texts and free GPRS bundle.

I was on 25 mins and 50 text sim only for £6 per month. i haggled that last year. this year they wouldnt honour it as it isnt a current tarif. i cancelled with a letter and hey presto within 2 days i got the disconnections dept on the phone to me.
i was offered 75 mins + 100 txts + stop the clock for £8 a month sim only
or
as above with w800i or k750i for £16 a month
or my original 25 mins + 50 txts with either phone for £9.99 a month.
i took the latter with the w800i as i dont make that many calls. i think that was a pretty good deal seeing as the w800i is going for up to £200 on ebay.
hope this help you haggle a better deal- always talk to disconnections dept, he said to me - we have disrection to do a bit more than the sales lines0 -
some interesting stuff and advice, but still haven't heard many great deal from some people! c'mon, post about it! :j0

This was coming up to a year ago now but I didn't want a new phone just a better deal than what I had with Vodafone so I asked them what they could do and I got:

500 texts
a spare (basic) phone Nokia 1100
this was for £19.99 a month when I was paying £29.99 a month before for the same mins and 100 texts.0 -
