Can someone help me clear this up with my friends at the Natwest

Options
Apologies for coming across a little thick (Although I dont think I am) but could someone just clarify this for me so I can talk to my friends at the Natwest. Here goes..............

POINT1

That Service Fees, charges and subscription fees are all of the same and are not refundable
(The "service fees" have been charged at the end of the following month at £6 and a seperate charge of £14 for "Unarranged borrowing Fee" has been charged on the same day. In August 2003 the "unarranged borrowing fee" then increased to £20 but the "Service fee" vanished from my account and has been replaced by a monthly charge of £9 under the title of "charges". In June 2004 "Charges" then becomes "Subscription" (still at £9).Then in October 2004 my "unarranged borrowing fee" becomes £28 whilst my "subscription" continues to be £9.Then in June 2005 it changes from "subscription" and goes back to "charges" (still at £9). Then in July still as "charges" it goes up to £10 from £9. Then in October 2005 it goes back to "subscription"(still at £10) My "unarranged borrowing fee" is still £28 .Then in November 2005 it becomes "charges" before changing back again in February 2006 to "Subscription" before going back again to "charges" in May 2006. Whilst still called "charges" it increases to £12 in June 2006.

WITH THIS IN MIND AM I RIGHT IN ASSUMING THAT SERVICE FEES, CHARGES AND SUBSCRIPTION ARE DIFFERENT NAMES FOR THE SAME THING AND THEREFORE NOT REFUNDABLE. AND THAT UNARRANGED BORROWING FEES ARE ALL REFUNDABLE.

POINT 2

Also, In February 2002 up crops "Paid Referral" (£25). Then again in May (£25), June (£25). August 2002 (£50), Sept 2002 (£25), Oct 2002 (£25), February 2003 (£25), April 2003 (£25), May 2003 (£25), June 2003 (£25), April 2004 (£25), June 2004 (£75), July 2004 (£25), August 2004 (£25), Sept 2004 (£75), Oct 2004 (£90), Dec 2004 (£90), Feb 2005 (£90), Mar 2005 (£90), April 2005 (£60), May 2005 (£60), Sept 2005 (£90), Oct 2005 (£30), Feb 2006 (£30), Mar 2006 (£30),

COULD SOMEONE LET ME KNOW WHAT A "PAID REFERRAL IS AND CONFIRM THAT I CAN CLAIM THIS BACK.

POINT 3

Could someone please let me know about if I can claim Interest back. These interest charges are I assume for using an authorised overdraft.

POINT 4

Finally I have now clocked up more charges which have arisen after the period I have claimed for. (Claimed for refund between June 2001 and 2007) These charges fall into the same catagories as the ones mentioned previously. Can I claim these as well. I have been accepted as being "In financial hardship" by my bank and need to know exactly what I can and cannot claim before I go any further

Apologies for the heavy reading but I thank you very much for all your help in advance.

£6, £9, £10 and £12 are all for a packaged accout and is the fee for the type of acount you have.

A paid referral fee is paid if you have a cheque or d/d that is paid but you don't have enough funds to cover and the bank pays the item regardless.

    Thanks for that.

    Can I claim for the £6, £9, £10 and £12 fees?.

Also can I claim the interest from using the authorised overdraft?

I assume I can claim the referall and unauthorised borrowing charges ?.

And can I claim for the charges I have had since my last claim date of my original claim.

    Thanks in advance
  • Mr Mad, from what I worked out last night with advice off others, you can not claim:

the service fee for having advantage gold account ie: the £6, £9, £10 and £12

nor can you claim the authorised overdraft interest

    hope this helps :)

Mr Mad, one of the threads on this forum has a guide I wrote on this one and Orford posted it.

The above explains Advantage Gold and charges and which you can and cannot claim. Username there is the same as here.
I have not worked for NatWest Bank since February 2009

This username is no longer active.
