Missed DD for O2

hi.just a quick question
i have a o2 contract(17th month out of 18).the prob is tht this month the bill was about 330 pounds, bcoz my gf kept callin abroad. im abroad as well at the moment and couldnt contact o2 to sort out the prob as i didnt have enough funds in my bank acc to cover it. i did think the bank will pay them even tho i go over my authorised overdraft,it did go thru, but the next day the statement shows that the DD was returned.now im thinking what shud i do as i do not want them to harm my credit history. i have other contracts with them plus been a loyal customer, plus paid big bills most of the time. what do u guys think, will they let me off this time, i do have the money now to cover the bill, or will they include it next month's bill and report missed payment to the credit agency..any help will be appreciated..thanks

P.S the bill was supposed to go on this month's 15th..so its only been a day..

They usually bar your phone from making calls, apart from being able to call their automated payment line.

Give them a call and pay over the phone with a card. In the past theyve never charged me penalties or harmed my credit history.

just go online to the payment page of your o2 and pay them. Dont know how it will affect your credit rating but i think they wait for you to chose a different method of payment cos the dd failed.

I do not think that 1 missed payment will have any impact on your credit record.

It is only if it frequently occurring that it would be impacted.

Call them o2 up and explain the situation - they should be okay if this is the first time

FYI.. I missed the payment 6 months in a row, paying 1 week later each month, and nothing ever came of it..
