Off to the theatre tonight so that'll be about £10 but driving so no alcohol to pay for.

Meal afterwards cancelled so saved myself about £15 there! yes!!

    Nothing else spent though.

Also trying to have a pretty cheap weekend. Taking a few things back that I bought last weekend when splurging.
  • Haven't spent anything today and not planning to. DH may spend something at the pub after work later tho.

    a small fortune......

after seriously toying with what i should use the bank charges refund money for i decided that me and the kids needed some stuff and as that money was unexpected, that i would treat us all. my kids never ask for anything and they are totally behind me on the road to debtfreeness but we have tightened our belts and not spend on anything we didnt really need since last summer, so i thought !!!!!! it...im gonna treat us!

£40 on new pair of jeans from topshop (i know these will last me ages as i still have the pair i bought 5 years ago in my wardrobe)
    £15 new bra for me
£12.49 decent headphones for my laptop so i can sit in bed at night and watch dvd's without waking the children.
£50 adidas stan smith trainers (but these are my birthday prezzie from my parents so mum is giving me the money back at weekend)

    for kids:

£11 DD on jeans and tshirt she liked from next
    £5 boxer shorts for DS2
£20 adidas tracksuit bottoms for DS2
£14 peppa pig carry house for DS3
£15 new harry potter dvd for DS1

plus new toothbrushes (£6) for all the kids and a battery charger and batteries so the kids can use them in their MP3 players. (£15)

blimey thats a lot, but did sell my old dog cage to a mate this morning £20 and betfair £25 through quidco!

...and do you know what....i dont regret a penny.....i cant wait until the kids get home from school to see their faces!!!! its brilliant coz i never buy my kids anything unless its birthday or christmas so this will be a real treat for them!!!

what ever is left is going off the overdraft when i get to the bank next week.

Too much Easter Holiday for them - 4 weeks and this is only their first week!

    FOUR WEEKS??!!

Good grief - I struggle to cope with two weeks and I've only got one kid! By the end of four I'd HAVE to go bankrupt! :rotfl:

So far today I've spent £2.80 on a sandwich, bottle of cola and a banana and £2.10 on 10 cigs  It's been a really pants week and I completely caved in.

Later on I'm taking DS swimming so once I've bought the card that will be another £15 for ten sessions for me and £1.50 for a session for him. I also need to get some stuff for the pizzas for tea so that's probably going to be another £5.

On the plus side, I shamefacedly took back my 2 month overdue library books to find that there is a fines amnesty on and the £15 I was supposed to pay (including fines from the last lot of books I borrowed!) had been wiped out completely :j

I've spent nothing at all but had two nice surprises already.

First of all I found a jar in the back of my wardrobe the other day when looking for an old National & Provintial saving book with a load of change in, so I set about bagging it all up after lunch and there was £52 in there! So I paid that in on my way to work. When I got here I decided to check my online banking and to my glee today is Egg Money cash back day - so they've given me £21.73 too - and as its a card I have already paid off it shows as a nice positive balance that I can use for some other debts.

£73.73 more today than I thought - thats definitely cheered me up!
