the whole problem is that the 'pretty ' ones seem to be either padded or underwired....or too provocative !
We have found perfect white ones...she just wanted to have coloured ones to be less noticable under her brightly coloured vest type tops........the M&S ones were lovely but they are more crop top type...which means they show way above a vest type top !
Maman thanks for comment but I can assure you she feels really good about herself ! ....and she is happy with the plain ones.......just wanted different colours so I just wanted to dye some bras!
thanks all xxxYNWA JFT96 :A0 -
My girls feel more comfortable in the padded ones as the unpadded ones make the nipples visible which make them quite self conscious
the M&S range have some pretty pink unpadded ones and aqua/blue ones and some with polka dots.. all very nice as first bras. My 11 y/o just got new ones last week as did my 14 y/o ..
the underwire is not actual wire like in the adult ones but just plastic shaping so it isn't there to support or anything just to make sure it stays put and keeps its shape. The padding is such a very thin layer it is really not like wearing a wonderbra.. in fact the difference when my daughters wear the padded ones as oppose to the non-padded is not even vaguely noticable.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

La Senza now do a teen range and they are fab. You can have matching sets and the pants are 5 pairs for £5.
DD too prefers the padded ones but she is 14 and likes the cotton La Senza adult ones in pretty colours.
Tammy Girl also do bars but they are quite expensive and not brill quality. Also look in George in Asda and Tesco children's range. The Tesco ones wash well and are quite pretty and only £4 each.~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)

I got dd some lovely ones in Tesco this week-they're very lightly padded (for the same reasons as mentioned above) and do seem to fit dd well. They were actually in with the adult underwear, and came in black, white, pink with white spots and light blue with white spots. They were priced at £4 each, but went through the till at £2-BONUS!0

Having been the first girl to wear a bra when I was at school ( yes ,I can remember that far back ) Padded is definitely the way to go ,they gives a smoother finish so less noticeable under thin schoolwear0

Hope I didn't cause any offence, none intended. Hope you both find exactly what you want.0 -
La Senza have a 70% off sale on at the moment on the cotton jersey bras and matching pants. I bought a bra and matching pants for DD for £5.10.
