Of course, like most people here I'd rather just have the cash - I'd start by paying off the rest of my debts, put the remaing £495,000 in a high-interest savings account and take some time to think about what I really want to do with it.

Hehe, Martin's trained us too well.:rotfl:

Answered this wrong - I was actually answering the question in the title ("what's the ultimate luxury possession?") rather than which I'd have...and of the options I'd say that the bling is the ultimate luxury - as it's, probably, the last one I'd spend money on - when you've got everything else, then you buy stuff that just looks pretty.

I'd have one of the holiday homes if I won it :)

Yes, but a combination of all of the above are all in a day's work for you, Martin.

I'll just take the tasty men and musicians; I'm sure I'll find a way to distract them from the lack of a luxury island.

I've just been trying to pick one, but again don't want any of them.

I find it really funny that so many of us don't want them - had thought it would just be me!

I work for myself so have flexibility over when I work; I live by the sea and near to fantastic woods and countryside; I'm rarely ill. I have a family who love me, a lovely dog and brilliant friends. The only thing I want in the world (other than to pay off my mortgage) is for my son to be rid of the arthritis he's has since age 8. Money won't buy that and all the luxuries in the world can't replace the good things I already have. So, no thanks Martin, not for me either....

I would have clean bed linen every night. Plus someone to do the washing and ironing, of course.:j
