Shame there is a linux util that can reset an XP admin password - comes on a boot floopy ..
Okay - there is something called the magic boot CD or sim. ... can ur lappy boot from the CD - you may need to set this in the BIOS - I will be right back need to get the url - hope you are on braodband and have a blank CD and can write ISO's...Rich people save then spend.

I have actually given laptop to somebody else to have a look at.
Reckoned it wasn't a password issue as when you entered a user name, it actually starts to login for a few seconds then logs itself out.:sad:
