have made a lasagne for tea will have a greek salad with it.
I also have half a loaf of bread 3 days old so I think i may make a bread and butter pud nomnomnom

off to watch the lightening, I love storms ...
  • Morning OS lovelies! hi.gif

Redruby - I don't have Damien Rices album and only found the song by accident, but I do love it
Fairy - Glad someone is coming to see your dad, hope it all goes well
N9eav - I think the weather and several regs being on holiday made the thread quieter over the weekend, though generally the thread is shorter then it used to be. I know I was in the garden til really late as we decided to have a BBQ.
Bitsy - sorry to hear abour your sons ear infection, they are so painful..
RosyRed - I love that part of France! Went camping there a few years ago - hot hot hot days but cold at night as we were so close to the mountains.
julietiff - congrats on your 100th post!
welcome2.gif CoconutQueen, good to have you with us.

Well thanks to my copper tape the slugs and snails haven't eaten a thing this year - til now! The one terracotta 'bowl' full of marigolds... they were decimated! Luckily I still have bedding plug plants in the plastic greenhouse so refilled it and added the copper tape this time!

Have more salad leaves than we can possibly eat - they are huge! My broccolli and cabbages needed potting on so put them in patio bags. It said it would take four but to me that looks a little crowded, however, having never grown them before I am willing to try! All my tomato plants are really tall so will hopefully get them into grow bags shortly. Last year in one corner of the garden we had hundreds of Dahlias but I left the bulbs in the ground and this year they are not growing, however, that means I can now use that space to put planters on and pop the sprouts into the ground. We only have two plants as like the broccolli and cabbage, they are new to me.

First lot of washing is already out on the line and the bread is out of the BM for lunch. Have another load of washing to go in and all the BBQ tools etc need washing up.We went to a funeral yesterday afternoon of one of my OH's mums friends' mum..(!). Never been to a funeral on a Sunday before but we weren't back home til gone 5pm so had the evening in the garden. Is it wrong to say the buffet was lovely :rotfl:and as we hadn't had lunch, it was very OS for us?!

Warm gentle grouphug.giffor anyone who wants or needs one.

    Afternoon all

Bitsy - same here re ear infections - DS used to suffer really badly with them. I remember helping out at a scouts camp in the Lake District many years ago and searching for the nearest Casualty for antibiotics as he was suffering badly

Just got home from half day at work. Tesco delivery should be here soon. Got £10 off this week from discount code boards :j doesn't happen very often.

Jobs to do - just a small list thank goodness

    Hoover downstairs
    Pile of ironing to do
Make and freeze some fairy cakes for DGD birthday party in a couple of weeks time

Cooked a large roast chicken yesterday so an easy chicken salad from leftovers with new pots for dinner tonight :D

It's looking a bit cloudy here in Kent so will bring washing in just in case, it should be dry by now anyway.

Have a good day all xxxx

Diva - Are these the ones on the Weetabix packet? If so I can get you a couple as we got a load of Weetabix from Costco at beginning of month.
Could post out to you if you want?

Thank you hon - I have pm-ed you!

Sun is still shining here and not a cloud in the sky so I am going to get out into the garden as soon as the OH is back from work! I seem to have lost my beetroot somewhere in the plastic greenhouse (not easy to lose things in there, it isn't the biggest thing!) so need to find them!

Diva - Pure luck, it was. I trawl the boards every week and this is the first week for ages I have hit the jackpot. I have complained on there before that sometimes the website accepts the code and when I put in the security number of the card I use to pay it then spits it back at me saying no, no no !! It worked this time though, so won't expect to get another one for a few weeks ;)

Just a quickie from me as I need to supervise homeworks and do an early tea of pork and roast veg as it's Brownie night.
Still completely exhausted after the weekend so it has been a day of the bare minimum OS of laundry, dishes and basic tidying. It has poured most of the day so no garden watering tonight.

Hope the scan went well FE. x
Happy Birthday Blairweech. :bdaycake:Hope you are ok. x

Thanks to those who wished my girlies a Happy Birthday yesterday. :A

we have had an awful lot of rain today and its not over yet  i think that it will be dark earlier tonight as there is a lot of cloud about.

Just finished off toad in the hole with jackets and spinach yum! i could eat it all over again :D i shall be off into the kitchen shortly to make the sandwiches for tomorrows dinner and sort out the dishes. I can get everything ready for the morning and set timers etc to make it as easy as possible first thing.

We have booked a holiday :j
just a 4 day short break but i`m all excited as we go in a month, 4 days should be plenty for the older houndie as he tires out quickly and we shall spend most of the time on the beach, young houndie probably won`t want to go back home after 4 days though

Blairweech - Happy Birthday :bdaycake: hope you are well! I must confess i would have missed that it was your b`day if it wasn`t for Haribo :o you have been MIA for an age so pop back to let us know how you are.

Right back into the kitchen for me.

    Have a good evening peeps.
