as you are already on a IPA you can add some that are not always allowed they will only be taken away or lowered so try,and remember it is an agreement between you and the OR so dont let them push you around,if the OR is still being hard drop a few hints that this time you want an IPA you agree with as they dont like going to court if you dont agree and i hear that judges dont like ORs to much,if you thinkits unfair dont sign it,get a copy from your OR first as they have to give you 1 and post on here so we can see if its fair or not . good luck:beer:

Why can you not put what you actually pay?? I'm not trying to be difficult, but as you have been bankrupt for over six months now you know how much you are realistically spending. It seems wrong to inflate the cost of things if you aren't really paying those amounts.

    Andy,

Can you put up your SoA as it is now with the things the OR has allowed, as there may have been things you didn't allow for in the first place.

You cannot just put your rent up to £500 if it hasn't gone up, the OR can easily check with your parents if it's true.

However, things like clothing it would be reasonable to put a little more as they may have gone up since December. Also this years council tax and water rates will have increased too, along with gas & electricity so you should be paying your parents more towards these things. You need to sit down with your parents and re-assess your contribution to their bills, if they are struggling because you are not paying them enough you can reflect that on your SoA, but you can's just up things for the sake of it.

A small amount towards a holiday would be reasonable, and is allowable.

The OR is highly unlikely to allow £500 board, especially on top of managment charge, council tax, utilities, home phone & Tv Licence adding up to a further £212. They might even argue that you could find rented/shared accommodation in your area for less.

Groceries - think latest average figures show £180-£200, £300 will be disallowed straightaway. Entertainment won't be allowed either.

Your figures do need to be realistic - if one or two figures are very high, such as board and housekeeping, your examiner is likely to take an even closer look at the others.

Surely honesty would be a better policy, as opposed to 'minimising the loss a little bit'?

minimise the loss in that anything that has in reality increased - cost of living increases etc, any changes of circumstances should now be worked into the new soa. I certainly don't recall implying that the OP should be dishonest and did not state this.

What exactly is wrong with redoing his soa to take into account his current situation? He would have to do this anyway when he notified the OR of his wage rise so he may as well be prepared for it now.

And sorry but I do feel for the OP, he has worked hard to get his wage rise. It will be hard to see the majority of it being paid to the OR so I don't see why he should not revise his soa now so that the OR only gets what is the true amount left over after all his essential expenses have been covered.

Just because he is BR does not mean that he is not entitled to have a fair review of his soa and ipa to determine the amount to be paid back is reasonable.

    Sorry OP, rant over! :D
