Is it really easy to swap broadband providers and telephone line?

Hi!
I've read this forum with interest, and am considering changing my landline and broadband provider. I'm currently with BT for both, and am forking out £37.99 per month in total for this, even though we rarely use the phone for calls.
So, in short, we want to save some money, and think changing to PO for landline and Madasafish for broadband might be our answer. I'm basically a bit worried about which order to do this in, and whether it's easy to change ISPs.
Thanks!

If you use caller display it wont be free with the PO and they can bar other call providors like 18866 so bear that in mind.0

I don't use any of those, so I should think it's be okay then? I literally use the telephone for incoming calls, the internet, and maybe one phone call a week... I'm still unsure about how easy transferring both will be. Ditto the BT e-mail address.

Sounds ok then, if you transfer to another company you will loose your Email address if its provided by them0

When changing from BT Internet dialup to another ISP you can convert the BT account to PAYG and keep the email addresses. It might be the same with BT broadband.0

I changed from BT broadband to madasafish last year with no problems. I can
still send and receive emails via the BT website using my old address. I find this quite handy as I use the bt email address for signing up to stuff, and use the new madasafish one for friends and family and get no junk on it.0 -
changed BB from BT to madasafish earlier this week, process was very smooth.0
