but is it really banksy?? the whole idea behind his (or her?) work was the anonymity..

Yes it is genuine, there was a piece in the Times about it, an interview with him the weekend that the exhibition opened.

It is a fantastic exhibition for all Banksy fans and even those unfamiliar with his work.

I queued for an hour to get in but once inside, you can browse at your leisure.

As someone mentioned earlier, check out the WHOLE museum, because apart from the main section, there are other pieces hidden amongst other works. I found that to be a little like a treasure hunt and extremely fun competing with my boyfriend as to who found them first!

As an added bonus, we spotted a Banksy on a wall ( opposite the Childrens Hospital ) in Bristol as we were leaving.

    This is it here: http://www.artofthestate.co.uk/banksy/banksy-bristol-sniper-boy-bag.htm

There is also another Banksy at the bottom of Park Street of a naked man hanging out of a window. Unfortunately this had blue paint thrown over it in protest when the exhibit opened but you can still see the painting. There is another banksy in stokes croft of a teddy bear throwing a molotov cocktail and it's called the mild mild west.
  • if everyone liked the same things the world would be very boring

No one is saying that everybody should be,it's made entirely clear that people are different by the types of comments that are written, either of praise/love or hatred/whateveryouwishtocallitism of Banksy.
Just because there are large queues does not mean everyone likes it...it just means the people queuing like it, as there are plenty of people who are not going to see it.Or at least thats what logic would say.
