I drove past the museum this afternoon and the queues were massive!
I reckon plenty of people would be willing to pay to see the exhibition, but I'm very pleased that the entrance is free!
The exhibit is on for 3 months so plenty of time for everyone to see it!"I expect to pass through this world but once. Any good, therefore, that I can do or any kindness I can show to any fellow creature, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it for I shall not pass this way again."

I see.
The implication is that many 'like' their house wall being vandalised.
Interesting.
I'll email Banksy, telling him your house is fair game, then...0 -
Was thinking of going in a couple of weeks time. Any good? Look's funny on the TV!0

but is it really banksy?? the whole idea behind his (or her?) work was the anonymity..Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..
Sometimes seen lurking on the compers forum :-)0 -
I went to this exhibition today and would highly recommend it.
There was a big queue outside, even at 10.30am, but it only took about 15 minutes to get in.
The museum is massive and Banksy's pieces are scattered throughout the museum aswell as in main gallery.
Definately worth a day out!

Yes it is definately genuine."I expect to pass through this world but once. Any good, therefore, that I can do or any kindness I can show to any fellow creature, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it for I shall not pass this way again."

quick warning. It is Bristol University's open day on Thursday (25th) and 11,000 people are booked to attend. I imagine queues for Banksy will be enormous so probably best avoid that day!0

I don't usually say anything but in this instance I think you need to know what you're talking about. This exhibition isn't just paintings or graffitti on walls, there are some extremely clever and ingenious moving (physically) pieces on display too.
My son went last week and enjoyed it so much he is going again. He's not some layabout btw, he is an extremely clever and articulate young man with 14 GCSE's at good grades and 6.5 A levels who has never been out of work - he also appreciates good art when he sees it.
It's also not the sort of stuff that Tracy Ermin (or whatever her name is) does. Don't knock it until you've seen it!
We've actually got some Banksy art on a wall on a bypass where we live - it draws tourists into the town so I am not complaining LOL
Oh and btw, Banksy doesn't graffitti people's houses. He uses his artistic license to brighten up neglected walls!0 -
Send him my address as well0
