New version of AOL (beta?) lost it?

AOL desktop's been out for well over a year, if not 2, I remember downloading that ages and ages ago and from what I could tell, they've made it so that you can access the internet without signing in.
Maybe it's not the same GUI, but my bet is it's the same IE driven engine and poorly written software. I'll eat my hat if it's actually stable

It was in beta for a while, can't remember exactly how long though. 'Twas only released officially this year though - when exactly I can't remember either!
You're right, it is totally different from previous versions, in that you can use it as a regular browser, without needing to sign on with a Screen Name.
I still wouldn't use it though. While it's much, much lighter than previous AOL clients, if it's AOL - it's not going on my system. Firefox is my preferred browser, any day of the week.0 -

Yeah I'm the same way, I mean, I have 5 computers running in my house and not one of them is running the AOL software (and were on an AOL connection - because it's only £6.99 a month
) I am running it in VM though... In case anyone wants to change their AOL email password. 0 -
