I picked up the MCE remote for £20 from CCL Computers. They also have the Pioneer 111D's with black Bezel which I got for around £30.

Get a Geforce 7600 GT and another 1GB RAM like me and your laughing.
  • But you'd still need a tv card to watch tv right?

Getting the £20 remote is useless otherwise isn't it?!

How does the one included in the package compare to the ultrasharp one? is the one included really that bad how do people find them and how do they compare to others on the market?

You need a TV card to watch TV. You can use the remote for using the media centre functions such as browsing pictures, watching videos, playing DVD's, listening to music.

I don't have the ultra-sharp TFT - I've got the E196FP screen and it's great. I play lots of games and it doesn't ghost or lag at all.
I have to mess with the brightness and gamma settings on the video card to get the best out of it though - presumably the fault of my video settings rather than the screen.

Are they? I thought it was just the HD that was different - have I missed something? Edit - I misunderstood your slightly different part - you were referring to the fact that you'd ordered both weren't you.

I canx the original first order and got the latest. I used epp too (which my company is a part of) so final price about £370. Sold the 19" TFT for £175 already. So £195 for a silent 5150, MCE05, dual core, gig PC is a sweet deal.

Though I really do now I have too many computers in the house...

WRONG! You can't have too many computers in the house! :D (I've got 6 but one of them is being rebuilt to pass on so soon be back to just the five until Dell come along with an incredible deal).

good... can you now tell my wife I do not need 4 PCs and laptop please

my argument is I have 4 LCDs and a projector so we need a PC for each of them and then we argue about that...

Luckily she likes MCE05 which 2 of them run.

When this turns up it will be massive box for 5150, big box for 19", box for printer... she will notice.
