When will the M&S Summer Sale start?

Hi,

last year the big Marks and Spencer Summer Sale started on July 16th (evening online before midnight)

Does anyone know if it will start the same sort of date this year?

I've have got to buy some decent non-iron cotton shirts now I'm a respectable teacher!

Last year it started on Thursday 17th July 2008. So I would assume it is around a similar date

My bet is Thursday 16th July

For the last few years its been the same week as the NEXT sale, looks like that starts on 18th so as M&S start on Thursdays 16th is a pretty good bet. Ive provisionally booked the day off work

I discovered last year that if you go to the online site and search on sale, just before the sale startes, you can find a page with the banner and items that are being added but not reduced.
I think it's they set up the page in advance and only implement the reduced prices when the sale goes live.

I searched this morning and the page is there with a banner of "Sale. Up to 75%off", so I think the sale is imminent.
