I'm confused? Who is he? Did you check with sorting office?
1) I sent somebody event tickets on Fri 12th June via Royal Mail Special Delivery - Saturday Guaranteed Service, to arrive Sat 13th June
2) Unfortunately, he did NOT receive the tickets as per the service that the Royal Mail encoraged me to take out to guarantee delivery
3) No attempt at delivery was made by Royal Mail on Saturday
4) The tickets ACTUALLY arrived on Mon 15th June at 12pm (The event had started at 1.30pm and the receipient lived 3 hours travel time away)
5) Those tickets were of no use to him - so he sent them back to me comlete with the envelope0 -
I have posted an image of the envelope here (address detials have been removed) :-

You took the wrong service out though you needed consequential loss insurance for tickets. I think you will only get the postage back i'm afraid.0

I got you now. That is a bit of a bummer. The others are probably correct though in you didn't take out consequential loss insurance. I think i would be reading the small print closely on the T&C's and sending a bollocking letter but not much else you can do.0

funnily enough,i was dealing with a similar complaint today
tickets,SD,saturday delivery premium
one problem, the entry system to the stair was broken
as has been said you needed to have taken out the consequentiual loss, its rare but if things get delayed/misrouted then theres little can be done at the time0 -
I had very similar & claimed for the full price of the tickets that they sold for on ebay. No CLI purchased.0
