Supplier. I have heard replacements are pricey.0

Contact your supplier, if the key you have is faulty or if the meter is displaying an error code when you use it a replacement key should cost you nothing.
If you have lost the key then you should expect to be charged for a replacement, depends on who your with as to the cost, up where I work SSE charge £40, BG charge £8. Not sure on other suppliers prices.
If you look on the Pay Point website it should give you the address of the nearest retail point that sells replacement keys...not all of them do, you may need an 8-digit number from you supplier that is used to set the key up in the shop. The alternative is to contact your supplier and ask them to send you a replacement in the post. If your off supply they may send an engineer out to sort it out for you, tis but a 5 minute job.0 -

Sorry but your wrong SSE will not charge for replacement key's where did you hear this? You can also not buy blank keys from a shop as the keys are programmed with your tariff and meter details.
If you contact your supplier first and obtain a tag number you can then take this to the shop and they program a blank key for you. I think thats only available in certain areas though.0 -

I think BG charge aroung £8 for a key. EON do not charge for the key. As others have said, contact your supplier, they will give you a tag number to get programmed on the key so the meter will have your correct tarrif prices etc.0

EON do not charge for the key.
They could charge £5 according to their T's & C's
