I do realise that.
I was just saying that it couldn't just be how you run your account.
LOL...... no, they 'appear' to check accounts at branch level or something and then someone usually keys in the application if they think you'll qualify. Must be a sales/marketing ploy......
However, you'll notice other people that have been 'upgraded' by Natwest confirm a search was performed. Maybe it's just an enquiry and if you accept they then add a search, can someone from/ex Natwest confirm the actual processes....?2010 - year of the troll

It's a full search and they don't do direct upgrades, you would get a new account number.0 -

Mmm, they sent me a letter saying I could apply for an upgrade, as my (Step) account conduct was good.. I may give it a go now."People buy things they don't need, with money they don't have, to impress people they don't like" - Clive Hamilton on Consumerism.0

Yes thats correct NID they do an enquiry on the customer then send a letter or contact them if they accept they then add the search. They will get a new account number they also get to keep there step account too unless the they ask for the step account to be closed. As it looks better for the bank when it comes to numbers of active accounts etc. Or they will just revert your step account into a full current account so you can keep the same account number etc.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -
