Natwest going soft?

I have been with them since 2006 when I got in trouble with barclays, today been in to pay a cheque in (only had a step account). They have given me a current plus account, only last year did they decline me for the same thing.

Whats going on?

Your credit file is always being updated, as such so is your credit score if you fail an application most places recomend you try again in about 3 months because in that time a lot could have changed on your finance front.

I think then the key is time, also it could have to do with the way you run your existing natwest account as they take that into account as well :)

i would say that is the reason they have offered it to you now if your Step account has been running well for 3 yrs!

I ran my Step account fine for 4 years and Natwest wouldn't consider me for a Current Plus account.
