Agree Smartie I am always disappointed if the kids get any Kinnerton eggs or calendars! I think it is plain nasty and doesn't deserve to be called chocolate. Funny thing is that my 10 year old has come to the same conclusion by himself. It is Lindt bunnies for my 3 this year 3 for 2 from Boots.

Large bag of cadbury flake with crunchy coating mis-shapes (most were just 2 stuck together - what a hassle having to eat 2!!!!!!).

Yes I have to agree it is a hassle having to eat 2 what is more than an hassle is the fact I have to eat the single ones so they don't get lonely :T :j

I don't think everybody here can afford to have such high standards. My kids would have been grateful for a gift of any sort and Kinnerton was no exception.
Perhaps you should send prospective wellwishers a list of pre-approved confectionery that comes up to standard ;)

And for nut allergy sufferers it does seem to be the only reasonably-priced choice.
    Can I help?

Just pointing out that kinnertons is not the best tasting chocolate - look at the mixed bag of posts. If I was spending £6 or £12 as people posting on the thread are, I would at least like to be able to enjoy it. Quality sometimes beats quantity in my book. My kids are not certainly not overrun with Easter eggs either.

I think I'm correct in saying that Kinnerton chocolate is safe for nut allergy sufferers. So that may be of some interest to someone.

Indeed. Nut allergies seem to be endemic. Everyone seems to know someone who has a serioius nut allergy, and when it comes to kids you can't take chances. So basically when it is for a birthday party, or easter egg hunt, we only buy Kinnerton. For the adults, we go for Lindt!

All the kids at my daughter's 5th birthday party were over the moon with their kinnerton chocolate eggs, easter lollies and bunnies, etc. Had I gone to M&S (the store the lollies were made for) it would have cost me £16 for 16 lollies - a bit more than the £1 I paid I'm sure you'll agree. Unfortunately I don't have this kind of money to spend on party bags. If you look closely at the labels you'll find that M&S and other big stores all use kinnerton chocolate but charge large prices as it has their company name on the front. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and kinnerton is fine for us!!!!

Quite right. These Lindt bunnies are fine for some but the TV advert keeps going on about their "chocolate ears". For that sort of money I'd want the whole thing to be made of chocolate.

I do agree with you and thanks to you sharing this information. :j I am able to treat all the family this year. No one mentioned the fact there is plenty of cadburys chocolate available there. I'm pleased the children party went well. I'm sure they are the envy of the neighborhood with their expensive goody bags. Thanks again for sharing this with the board. :j  :T
