Okay done. Does anyone know how to edit an ebay listing description? It shouldn't be a problem should it, providing we are declaring any income made the necklaces to the tax office...is that right? Do I have to re-register with ebay as a business?

I honestly didn't think it would be a risk at all to sell on stuff via ebay and make a bit of money.
    From this page:
To change your account type from individual to business:
    • Go to My eBay.
    • Click the "Personal Information" link under the "My Account" heading.
    • Click the "Edit" link next to Account Type.
    • On the Change Account Type page, select the "Business" option, and then click the Continue button.
    • Enter your business name, and then click the Change to Business Account button.
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine

Turkish Delight...If I change my account to a business one it says I can't change it back to an individual one. Does this mean I can't sell my own bits and pieces like I used to anymore?

It is quite normal to have 2 accounts, one for business and one for private, you should also have a third for purely buying.

Kepp the existing account as a business one and start two new accounts ,you will need different bank details but can use the same paypal account. Just keep the accountscompletely seperate and never be tempted to shill bid or interfere with your auctions in any way.

And seriously, check out the Amazon thread as well there is often a lot more money in books than there is in jewellery.

You can, but you'll be governed by the business rules- returns and fee differences etc. We sell as a business and we've got a seperate personal account for selling our own stuff (That is within the rules, as long as the accounts don't bid on each others items etc.) It's also a good idea to get a account just for buying.
