I always let the dog out for the loo just before I go out, but he used to sometimes not come in when called because he was having fun. So I started offering him a biscuit to come in (bribing him!).
Now I just have to shout him and he comes straight away......BUT if I don't have a biscuit for him, he stands just outside the door looking at me, and won't come in. If I try to grab him he just runs off.
So I now have to give him a little treat EVERY time he goes outside or he won't come back in!

Hi All some of these are great,

I posted this in another thread but thought I would share, my dog is only 7months old and is coming into his own, this is first summer we have had him and he has developed a new obsession for flys and blue bottles getting into the house as we leave the door open all day for him to go in and out.

He bites mid air trying to get them and stalks them which is so funny, He saw one on the TV today and ran it to catch it and bumped his head on TV screen it was so amusing, he look at me as if had done it LOL!! I just hope this doesn't develop into him chasing bee's and wasp's he will be in trouble then will have to discourage him form that.

    SS!
:money:I secretly think martin is super sexy!! LOL!!:money:

This is the same as my girl we constantly hear her jaw snap together as she catches them. and when we took her camping last year OH was concerned she wasn't eating her dinner, not surprised have you seen all the midges in the highlands she must have been full.:rotfl:

My boy steals my bra's for some reason nothing else he will open the bathroom door and steal it when i'm in the bath and i cant hang them to dry cos he steals them. i now have to dry them in my sons room much to his frustration.

Both of my dogs hit their bowls if the are empty and send them sliding over the kitchen, if we do not pay attention they will bring their bowls into the living room.:T

Just had to add this as it leaves me rolling in laughter everytime i see it. my sisters dog is a 6yr old Akita with a liking for milk but we(as in all the females) don't give him it but my dad got caught out a couple of months ago. Sunday dinner had just finnished and we were all chatting when dads nebour asked for a tool from dad so he went to the garage to get it. The dog got really excited when he went in the garage and we thought ahh thats lovely he's looking for dad, then dad came back in. The dog went nuts and i swear he said milk (more like mow welkgrr lol) and kept doing it untill dad gave him some. now evertime dad steps out the backdoor(never when it's the front) the dog howls and say's milk.
slowly going nuts at the world:T
  • My dog has worked out a way of telling me what she wants, and I am not quite sure how she worked it out, but it started off that when she needed to pee she would come over and bark at me (just once) and stare at me, till I asked her 'do you want to go up the garden?' - obviously, this was the right answer and she started wagging like mad and heading for the door.

After a few times of this, instead of just wagging to confirm what she wanted, she started boinging off the floor, onto the chair arm, and back again, several times, till I went and let her out.

However, she now has me trained, and will also come and do the same bark and stare if I am late feeding her, and when I ask her if she 'wants dinner' she boings on and off the furniture to tell me that I have it right!

Oh dear, the dog really shouldnt be telling me what to do, but it is so funny I have to admit I let her get away with it! (and I would rather that she tells me when she needs to go out than not!)

My poor darling boy who was sadly put to sleep last summer would wipe his paws EVERYTIME he came in from a walk - and he'd understand 'wipe your paws' too and do it.

He also wiped his mouth on the carpet after a drop of milk :rotfl:

The 2 we have now, they bark at their reflections and Louie chases after the flies and stuff too and tries to eat them - but he's so daft he bangs into stuff.

Molly pats him on top of the head when she's sat on the settee as if it say 'alright, this is my seat - you stay on the floor, good boy'. It's hilarious to see this tiny yorkie/border cross patting this huge great border collie/terrier cross.

As I type I'm being glared at, yipped at and growled at because he thinks he really needs a second chew. What a chancer !
