Dogs strange habbits :)

Hello all :)

Today was fun and games with Gonzo. He was playing Hide and Seek with me (I know he doesnt understand the concept of it ;) )

He dissapeared, I was in the spare room (drying room) and he jumped out of the (temporary fabric) wardrobe, and scared the living daylights outa me lol :D

Then he went and hid behind the sofa :D He'd run out the room, and if I didnt go into the room he was in, he'd run back to me, bark and run off, as if he was wanting me to chase him?:rotfl:

Just wondering what little things your pets get up to, to brighten up your day :D

Bless them :A
I know my spelling is shocking  It is alot better than it used to be though :rotfl:

  • My dog used to answer me back when I told her off. I love thinking about all the funny things she used to do.

She would also wrap herself up in a blanket like a baby! The first time she did this I searched all over the house looking for her as I couldn't find her!!

Sounds like your little chap has a great charater! x

One of my dogs is so silly. He has an obsession with a tennis ball. We've given him a few different types of ball but if they can be chewed he will do it but not with his tennis ball. He's had it for about 9 months now and he plays with it every single day!:rotfl:
He will have you play with him throwing it, then he will run up to the top of the stairs, then he will lie down with the ball between his front paws and look at you then it and back at you, and just when you're sick of waiting he will either nudge it with his nose to make it fall sloooowly down the stairs, or move his paw to push it down lol.
He will sit at your side looking at you for ages until you give him attention then he jumps forward and you realise he wants to play with his ball again! Ive had him whine at me while I was taking a nap on the sofa, waking me up just because he wants me to throw it lol! He also searches the house if he has misplaced it or we hid it for a bit of peace! :rotfl:
My other dog isnt as crackers but he does this really cute thing when he stretches and his ears come up and he points his head up and it looks like he's smiling! So cute! We changed their food a few months ago so now he whines every food time, he really likes his Chappie! :D

Mine is obsessed with the phone if the landline rings he sits by it until it is answered ,when the mobile rings he goes frantic and pulls at my clothes so much so I have to shut him out of the room ,he is also obsessed about feet and shoes ,shoes he nuzzles and feet he stares at mind you he is a barmy border collie and who knows what goes on in their minds .
  • Dogs are great! I was offered another one today as I lost mine 3 months ago. She did live a good life though. I am moving to Canada so not practical to get another now. Once I am settled over there I am going to get another rescue dog though they become such a huge part of your life!

Another thing she used to do is snuffle like a pig when she looked for bits of food on the floor after my son had finished dinner. I used to complain about it but only now I realise how much time she saved me from vacuuming!

Great to hear all stories about dogs they are funny things!!

Aw bless him ... he sounds like one of those "hearing dogs" ... a lot of dogs go mad when the phone goes, but to actually come and alert you to the fact that it's ringing ... well, that's intelligence!

My dog Dylan (the one in my picture) will sit on the floor by the parrot cage and raise his paw up to the parrot ... the parrot will then bring a piece of fruit (usually a slice of clementine or carrot!), put em on the cage side and push em out onto the floor for the dog!!

So anything I give the parrot to eat I have to make sure it is dog-friendly cos I know he will share it with muttley!!
