I was in New Look in Edinburgh yesterday, (its a shopping centre on Princes Street at the Castle side, you go downstairs to get to it) and I got a whole outfit for £4. A pair of 3/4 length trousers for £1 and a top for £3! My best bargain ever, they had dresses for £2 and lots more so if you're in Edinburgh and want some cheap summer stuff, get down there!

M ansd S have reduced all kids clothes to 50p or £1. I bought 3 pairs of girls' schooltrousers,a vest top, a pair of shoes and a nightie for £ 5.50. One of the pairs of school trousers is for me (size 12). Got waist 28" and they fit fine. It's made my day

Now i do occasionally have a browse around, but thought the House of Fraser was generally out of my league. Well take a look at their clearance rails.

Today I saw some lovely french connection wool trousers for a tenner, loads of stuff like diesel, fcuk, hooch, jlo, for under a tenner. It wasnt all 'odd' stuff in fact mostly in season, and a lot of party/club type stuff which can go on forever if you get the right thing.
I certainly will think twice now before paying full price for a top in poundstretcher when I can get a designer one for the same price! ;DMember no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:

I work in Marketing (for a charity before anyone shoots me!) so this might be interesting for me too!!!!
It's now September & post August Bank Holiday I guess that's the Summer sales gone :'( for another year!!
Now here's the real challenge 4 all u moneysavers.... ;D
In the pre-Xmas build up in a realtively "quiet time" of the year :'( as far as "Marketing Depts" are concerened..
Are there any good "Autumn" sales out there!! 8)
:P ::)
The September "Back to School" stationery sales immediately spring to mind (have seen other MSErs post some of these offers somewhere in this forum), but how about late bargain holiday deals you always see in Sept/Oct?
I'm off to have a gander over the next few days and shall report back with my findings!
The Hunt for Reduction October is on!

Hi Pablo!
Nice thread - I meant to ask when the autumn one was coming!
Is there any chance you could ask a mod to let you start a new 'autumn' thread and sticky that instead?
I just get the feeling people are going to read through those two pages and waste some time thinking it's up to date stuff when in fact it isn't - like I did yesterday and I'd read it before!!! Doh! ::)
Just a thought and thanks again for your summer bargain spotting!

hi phil c !! many thanks for that !!! 8) 8)
can you do me a favour, can you PM martin & Mse_Andrea to request this? I'd be really greatful if you could as I've got a mountain of deadlines at work until at least next tuesday (Marketing/Sponsorship deadlines :( for the Charity I work for ;D !)
Left work last night at 10pm, back in work at 7am! :(
Oh well! It'll all be over by next week!!! ;D
If you could send the PM to admin & Mse_Andrea I'd be really greatful (you could also ask them to "advertise it in the weekly chat tips, as "stickying" this thread got it over 9000 hits, without any mention in the chat tips email: just think about how many other summer sales we would have discovered if it had been advertised in the weekly chat tips email!! :P ::) ).
I am convinced all MSE'rs would do a fine job of unearthing hundreds of autum sales.
Due to the fast moving-nature of this board it tends to work best for internet offers, and I started this thread (and the "closing down sale thread") in an attempt to maximise "High Street" shopping moneysaving oppurtunities for the benefit of all MSE'rs!!

"WH Smith has DVD box sets on half price. I bought The West Wing season 2 for £24.99 (is £33.99 on Play.com) and they also had season one, Smallville, Ally Mcbeal and the like"
The wife bought Bad Girls series 1 and 3 marked up at 14.99 each from 29.99 at Thurrock Smiths.
When they went through the till they came up as 22.00 for the 2 as one had been opened.

Boots are selling off their summer beach wear/accessories range at bargain prices. Not sure if it is in all stores but it is in ours in Sheffield. Just got a lovely beach bag reduced from £18 to £3.
Lots of bikinis, bags, flip flops, mats and that sort of thing.
Not exactly the weather for it but it will keep nicely in the wardrobe.
Happy shopping0
