Just as a follow up as this is the last week I can cancel the BT contract I've decided to swap over to Sky for the line rental.

As suggested in the thread I rang them up and did indead get the half price line rental for 6 months. They didn't even put up much of a fight, I just said thinking of swapping back to BT for everything.

So £30 discount will be a lot of 0870 calls so I'm happy enough, and saynoto0870.com is a great site. I even rang sky on the 01506 number to sort it all out. Caller display is still free too so hopefully I've made the right decision.

They did stress though that I would be entering into a new 12 month contract on everything though TV, Broadband and Phone, and he even passed me to a supervisor who also stressed this. Sounds like they've been getting a little grief about people not realising this then.

Yes seen it but I'm on the max product and I would also have lost the £5 discount I'm currently getting if I didn't swap the line rental.

To be honest they are all as bad as each other, BT with their new "stealth" rolling contract and $ky, well just because they are $ky !! If I save £3 a month overall it's still a saving, we don't use the phone alot so it should be ok.
