Same date as the TV susbscriptions increase too.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

Yep, we're on the mid package as well, so will be affected. Looks as though Sky isn't as good value as I first thought.
  • GREAT !!!

Just changed to the TV/Phone/Broadband package and the reasoning included the 40Gb limit. Thought I had done sufficient research but hadn't picked up the proposed price rises in a couple of months.

What is the point of increasing the headline speed from 8 to 10 Mbps when so very few get more than 6 Mbps?? Another triumph of advertising over honesty.

This is exactly how the Murdoch Empire functions, start cheap, trap customers in to long contract, then up the anti, and reduce the product.

i might have to think about going back to virgin media i have been with sky for 2 years or so now,
i'll have to see what virgin will offer, we only left them because they made a hash of things when we wanted to go digital they turn everything off a month before we were going to change over so that left us with the 4 basic channels.

You can leave if the change is of detriment to you. I think Sky can only increase by upto 10% over the course of the contract.
