Direct Debit Indemnity - what do I need?
Comments

I refuse to comment any further, it was clear what the op meant.0

Vodafone are now claiming they have never received this double payment.
A few months back they passed it on to a debt recovery firm and I sent them a copy of the email I had received from vodafone confirming that I had made a double payment and advising me to arrange a direct debit indemnity with the bank.
I heard nothing back from them so I presumed this was sorted out.
Now Vodafone have this account showing as a default on my credit reference file.
Any advice as to how I should procede?0 -

Pop over to the Debt Free wanabe forum and ask there.
They have standard template letters you can send out and will be able to advise you about getting the default removed.
Always deal with the debt colleciton agency in writing. Don't discuss anything on the phone with them ask for it in writing.0 -
I've now managed to get Vodafone to accept a payment for the amount I was due (less than they were claiming).
They are however so far refusing to remove the default (which I never got notice of in the first place).0 -

It is still showing on Credit Expert though.0
