How to cancel Virgin Broadband at the end of my contract?

Hi, i'm a graduating student moving out of my student house june 30th. Moved in a year ago, had virgin broadband since then. I believe at the end of the month i will have been with them about 12 months, which is the contract length. Moving back to my parents house for the summer which already has virgin, so i need to cancel this. Just wonering if anyone knows if they have a minimum notice i should tell them by, even though my contract will be ending. I dont want to risk the company just resubscribing me for a year without telling me, nor do i want them to stop the internet too early before i actually move out.
I know customer services have all the answers but wanna keep that to a minimum as i'll be ringing on my mobile and probably be on hold for 4 years based on passed experiences...
thanks
