Apologies in advance for being a little cheeky, but does anyone else not think that's a bit steep?!
You can get standard for alot less if you buy combo tickets with other attractions, I used the aquarium/eye combo but you can get a few different ones depending on what you want to see. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

We went past the London Eye during the half-term. There was a 2-hour wait for the Aquarium , but didn't seem to be much of a wait at all for the Eye.
Not sure if this is normal or not.
Also as each pod holds quite a few people, the queue moved quicker than you thought.

That is actually helpful, as it's recent info! I knew of plenty of people who have queued for ages, but it's all quite a while back, and I wan wondering if this attraction would get less busy as the years have gone...I don't think I can hang on til Friday...0 -

Thanks a lot for your reply! Just wonderinng - when did you go, was it recent, or further back, when they eye was new...?I don't think I can hang on til Friday...0 -

The tickets are actually a little cheaper if you book through Expedia, £15.30 & £7.65 for standard + quidco of course, might be useful for someone else to know... Still not dirt cheap, but every little helps!I don't think I can hang on til Friday...0 -
We fast tracked when my son was just 5. Lady took for 2 adults and assumed he was under 5 and didn't charge. Counter is very high so she couldn't see him properly anyway. You get a ticket for under 5's anyway so when we got to the queue the person there didn't even question it, just took the ticket.Too many children, too little time!!!

I have been 3 times and I am going again in a couple of weeks. Me & DH are taking my parents and Dad wants to go on the "spiral thing, you know, the thing that goes up in the air" :rotfl:I have used fast track each time and apart from once when it was quiet, I was very glad I used it. With the fast track, we have waited a max of 10 minutes, when the standard queues were horrendous. You get 10% discount if you book online and it is cheaper (as someone has already said) if you buy combination tickets.
If you are going with another adult, one adult could wait in the queue while the other one takes the kids for a wander & keeps popping back? They have the human statues on the embankment just a few feet from the eye, they keep the kids amused for ages lol. There is also Mc Donalds a few feet the other way . It can be quieter outside the main school hols but don't bank on it because many people take the kids out of school for breaks at this time of year. Foreign tourists are also arriving.SPC 8 (2015) #485 TOTAL: £334.65

You got unlucky with the Aquarium. I visited in the Easter holidays and got straight in with Merlin Pass (basically the same as a fast pass), the normal queue was horrendous though.
With the London eye, I used the Merlin pass again, we joined the normal queue and go in in about 15 minutes. What I did notice though was the queue to purchase tickets, that was very long indeed.0 -
About 3 years ago me and my husband were in London for a weekend and did not want to waste time queuing. We went fast track on the London Eye and we felt like royalty being taken straight to the front of the queue - no waiting at all. Definitely worth it for us as we had little time to waste.
Next weekend we are taking our 2 children and have booked fast track again. I would certainly recommend it - especially if you are only in London for a short stay.
