What Software To Use For 3G/HSPDA Data Modem?

I have a 3 branded ZTE 627 data modem / dongle thing, which is unlocked, and an O2 iPhone SIM for the free internet - I've got it working using the Telstra software that came with the unlocking tool, but the 3Connect software just tells me that the SIM is unsupported.
What application would you recommend I use? The Telstra stuff feels a little bloated and doesn't seem that good tbh.
Any recommendations? I've heard about MWConn, but I couldn't get that working (maybe I just suck!), and also about Huawei's "Mobile Partner", but I couldn't find that...

I also have a ZTE MF627, and I'm using the ZTE connection software for the ZTE MF622. You can download this from the dc-unlocker website. I haven't tried Telstra so I can't compare, but the ZTE software doesn't feel too bloated and works fine with both my O2 (iPhone) and Virgin Mobile SIM cards.Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks
