This may be caused by a new AV software update?? The images are retreived from a different website to that of the text, sounds silly but that's how they work.
Disable the AV and/or software firewall and try again.

i fount that very occasionally that happened in version 2 in chrome on 1 site
i now have the beta 3 version from filehippo.com i think and its gone
even faster still and less instabilities despite only being in beta
