Gift for nursery teacher at end of term

My son finishes at nursery in a few weeks and starts the primary after the holidays, but what is the normal kind of gift to get his teachers? Do people still do this?

He has two teachers in his class which he gets on with like a house on fire and was wondering what to get them.

Thanks

ours asked for new books for the children at the nursery, instead of gifts for themselves!

I have baileys sets (from the boots sale) & oil burners (from the boots sale) which I am going to share between them & I am making a sweetie jar for each of them which I am going to put a lable on with a drawing that my DD has one & a little thankyou from her. DD goes to creche & pre-school so we have quite a few presents to give out.

Also she leaves a week before everyone else so we will give out sweets to the children on her last day.

The pre-school Mums are going on a night out at the end of the month, which will be great as a lot of us will continue to see each other at school, & there are some Mums we won't see anymore as the children are going to a different school.

DS gave his favourite nursery teacher a brightly coloured coffee mug that he chose himself, as something to remember him by.

Hiya, I would give a thank you card from your family and like said a childrens book to be shared. Lots of mums give flowers but if the pressy is to be shared a large pck of biscuits/box of chocolates.
If winter comes, can spring be far behind?

As a nursery teacher myself it is always nice to get something from families, even if it is a card. One of my favourite presents so far are a photo of myself and my kids on a mug and mouse mat which I use at work. The one that tops is all was a watch which had the battery taken out so it had been stopped at 3.15 along with a diary with just 1 page - last day of term. That was 3 years ago and I still laugh at them - and rememebr the family
