I was having such a good day today, then I got home, there was some mail for h, one of them looked a little strange so I opened it . It was from one of those pay day advance companys. Am at this for starters cos we're trying to be careful with cash just now and he knows if he was short before pay day I'd have helped rather than go to a company like this. But anyway, this made me suspicious, checked his other mail, one was for a new credit card he got for balance transfer, except in the last week he has had 7 transactions for pp online, totalling £190, his other credit card bill has £110 in various transactions for bingocasinos, as well as a regular payment for another site. Have also looked at his emails and he is signed up for various sites for gambling and other dodgy stuff. Now he is a gambler but told me it was under control following hypnosis he had for it. He is out at a work dinner tonight so haven't seen him yet, but am feeling totally and don't know what to do. I have texted him saying we need to talk cos his mobile is off.

We have been here before and he promised me no more lies and now this. I'm 7 weeks pregnant just now and we're in the middle of buying a new place and now I don't know what to do. I am totally heart broken that he has lied again and really can't see where we can go from here.

If you've got this far, thanks for reading, probably nothing anyone can do but feel a little better for getting it off my chest.

Oh heck crazyhazy................I know a little about how you feel let down (not gambling, alcohol), it's not nice, and obviously not the best time for you. If you do try to talk to him tonight, try not to get too emotional and keep calm, good luck if you do icon12.gif

thanks, really don't know where to start with him. I can't see how we can carry on when I can't trust him but I'm terrified of being on my own with a baby. I just feel like my world is falling down around me.

Keep calm, and talk to him tomorrow rather than tonight? Try not to get yourself in a state - it's not good for you or the baby.

He may get very angry at your having read his mail, so be prepared for that. An addiction is very hard to crack, so he may need to try again. The support group for family of gambers can be contacted at http://www.gamanon.org.uk/

    Good luck.

Thing is, with an addiction, he probably isn't lying to you - he's lying to himself as well.

    ((((( Hugs )))))

Be strong and let him know that you love him and that you are supportive and want to help. If you have a go at him then he is just going to get defensive. I would find this really hard and just hit the roof, take his cards and the computer - but I realise that this is not treating him like an adult and I hope you are strong enough not to ...

Good Luck and let us know how you get on
