After a long and drawn out battle to claim back my PPI from Barclays ,I eventually got a result when FO made a binding decision and found in my favour.
That was on May 12 and they advised me to give Barclays 28 days to get in touch to restructure my loan and refund what they owe me.
Received a letter from Barclays dated 3 June giving a breakdown(if abit confusing)of how they would refund me.
The last sentence of the letter stated this would not be issued until i returned the acceptance form both for the new loan and accepted their refund.
Great I thought, its on its way-my only concern was that there was nothing enclosed for me to sign.I got straight on the phone and was told by customer services that the form was sent separately but she would email person who had issued the letter(his number went straight to voicemail)and make sure that the acceptance letter was issued.
One week laterI am still waitng,I called them today and was told that it had not been issued ,she would chase it up and get the letter writer to ring me.
I have received no phone call yet,and now plan to call everyday until they get sick and tired of me and post that damned letter out.
Please,Please HAS ANYONE GOT ANY MONEY FROM BARCLAYS?
I feel like I am banging my head against a brick wall.

Hi there hun
If this was resolved through the FOS I would have thought they would intervene on this for you.
I would contact the one that was dealing with your complaint with the FOS by ringing them tomorrow, they should be able to help you through this until its finally resolved.
Sorry if I have mis read on this, let me know otherwise, cheers.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

I am in exactly the same position as you, KT21.
FOS told me that Barclays should contact me within 28 days, that was on 17 April.
On the 28th day, I had a letter from Barclays showing me how they would calculate the refund and informed me that they'd be posting a new loan agreement for me to sign.
I haven't heard anything since.
Phoned them last week and the person I spoke to sounded like she didn't have a clue what was going on but said she would try to get it chased up for me.0 -

I just get the general feeling of being fobbed off..its as if they have sent that letter showing the breakdown just to keep the FO happy. We are really struggling at the moment and the money would make such a difference to us.Thanks for your reply anway -I wonder how many more are like us waiting.0 -

Hi
Just thought id let you know that i got my new loan agreement today, which I needs to sign and return which will then release the refund.Yahoo!
It has taken just over 2 weeks for them to get back to me since the breakdown letter they sent on 3rd June.If you havent got your new agreement yet id speak to them and keep calling cos thats what I did.You got your letter before me so you should have heard by now.Possibly speeded up by my persistent ringing. So go for it-bombard them with calls and get that money.Wonder how long before it is in my account?- but its getting nearer.
Regards

If you have extra debt interest that you would not have had if they had paid up within the time limit I would ask for some inconvenience money too. You could always ask the adjudicator about this.0

Congratulations on receiving your new loan agreement.
I had a letter from them about 2 weeks ago saying that they needed more information to process the new loan agreement.
So I phoned them up (an office in Manchester) and they told me that the letter had been sent in error, just ignore it, you'll hear from us shortly.
Still hadn't heard nothing by Friday of last week so phoned them again - The letter asking for more information was not sent in error. They needed to clarify my name, date of birth and address before the new loan agreement could be prepared. Although they have verified this when opening the account and when signing for the loan in the first place.
Went in to branch with all my ID on Saturday, branch manager dealt with me and she was baffled by what they wanted. She left notes on my record to say that she has kept copies of the documents I took to the branch and told me to phone up on Monday (yesterday).
Did just that and it's now been passed back to head office in London.
...Still waiting.0
