Bundles for tv, phone and broadband....

I've been really good at moneysaving in most areas of my life but I've really let this bit pass me by and I'd love some advice.
We currently have wireless broadband at a ridiculous £17.99 a month with wanadoo. We've had it for years and I've just never got round to getting a better deal. I don't know what width we get for that but we aren't high usage; although I use the computer constantly I don't tend to stream videos or download much stuff.
Phonewise we aren't heavy users either; we're with BT. our quarterly bill from them is about £45 (including line rental) which means we are paying £32.99 a month for broadband and phone. Obviously we could get something much better. Help! TV wise we just have freeview and although I'd like more choice I've just never wanted Sky - I can't see anything I like on it. The kinds of things I'd like to be able to do are to watch films and occasional series on demand, but we rarely watch anything else on TV, except a few docs and reruns of friends.
I've been looking at BT Vision and it seems quite good, but can anyone advise otherwise, or tell me about any other good bundles? I've talked to Virgin but they don't have cable in our area.
Goes without saying I want to spend less than we are now!

From casual research BT always appear to be twice the price of other broadband providers for a similar service, (after the brand new customer offers).
If you want a bundle thats more than Freeview with some Video on demand, such as BT Vision then Sky could be your best bet but do your research.
Sky broadband is only vfm if you are on an unbundled exchnge (LLU) and if you take their Sky Talk telephone package as well.
Orange are currently increasing their prices, but you could get on to their retentions/cancellations department and see if they offer you a better deal, a wireless router or both, but beware in the later case you will be signing up for another 12 months. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
Impossible to advise without knowing what exchange you are on and what LLU operators are on that exchange. Have a look on samknows.com and one of the LLU ops is likely to give you the best deal. I would suggest look at O2, but only if on an LLU basis (since you are in London this is fairly likely). You can also get an additional discount if there is an O2 mobile in your household. Don't bother with the O2 Access service, as this is just a rebranded BT Wholesale product.
I would ditch Orange at the earliest opportunity. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Thanks both. I'm not sure I really understand LLU or how to check if that's what I'm getting... do I just ask?0

Go to samknows.com, go to exchange search, input your number and it will show you which operators are LLU on your exchange. Look for the column headed 'LLU Operator Presence'.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
